Chris Lewis

Vice President of Engineering

Chris has more than seventeen years of varied experience in the energy efficiency arena. Prior to joining GreenerU, he gained experience in the energy services industry, specializing in projects for higher education, public housing and municipal customers. This experience was gained working with a major energy services company (ESCO) managing the implementation of energy efficiency projects, including at Housing Authorities in Massachusetts and New York State.

Since joining GreenerU in 2012, Chris has worked on developing and implementing energy efficiency projects and programs at client campuses, covering a wide range of efficiency measures and capital projects. These projects provide customers with energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrades, delivering cost savings and improved systems reliability. Chris leads client engagement for project development and also provides technical guidance for GreenerU’s climate action planning process, helping clients navigate the technical challenges involved with campus decarbonization. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Union College and a Master of Science in engineering management from Tufts University.

Chris once ran in a 200-mile, 36-hour relay race from Saratoga to Lake Placid, NY.
