Up to five selected institutions will receive a customized zero-over-time plan for one building, including an evaluation of current energy use, recommended conservation and electrification measures, and a roadmap to achieve decarbonization goals.
Proposals are due by October 31, 2025.
GreenerU is partnering with Second Nature to offer selected campuses in New England to receive zero-cost zero-over-time plans for any one building on their campus. GreenerU’s assessment will evaluate the current energy consumption and energy systems present in the building and identify both energy conservation measures and electrification measures that the building can take to achieve decarbonization goals. At the end of the assessment, the campus will receive a report that is theirs to keep. It will provide estimated costs, incentives, cost savings, and total costs of ownership for the energy conservation and electrification measures required to decarbonize the building.
Colleges and universities that are active Second Nature Climate Leadership Network—Signatories, Climate Leadership Network—Affiliates, or members of the University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) located in New England (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT) that have not received exclusive membership benefits in the last two years are eligible to apply for an opportunity to receive a free building decarbonization assessment.
Up to 5 campuses will be selected to receive a free decarbonization assessment for 1 building on their campus valued at $10,000.
Submit a proposal by EOD October 31, 2025.
