Dustin Cross is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with more than ten years of deep-rooted passion for sustainability and excellence in design.
Dustin is skilled in applying theoretical analysis and computer technology to engineering processes for improved accuracy and increased savings in energy and system costs. Knowledgeable and well versed within a “maker” atmosphere, Dustin couples that with a well-established engineering foundation driven to push innovation and accelerate change, making him an effective and efficient team member. Prior to joining GreenerU in 2017, Dustin was a mechanical engineer and HVAC designer with RDK Engineers in Boston, where he designed customized heating and cooling systems for clients such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Takeda Pharmaceuticals. He also worked as a mechanical engineer and HVAC designer for Symmes, Maini & McKee Associates, R.W. Sullivan Engineers, Inc., and Norian/Siani Engineering, Inc. Dustin earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Dustin once awoke to a skunk sleeping on his belly during a cross-country cycling trip, likely the same critter he’d shooed away from their campsite earlier in the evening. The lesson here: don’t try to negotiate with skunks. Just hand them your wallet and be done with it.
