We’ve joined Con Edison’s Participating Contractor network.

GreenerU has recently partnered with utility company Con Edison to offer custom energy savings solutions through electric and gas discounts at colleges, universities, and independent schools in conEd's service area.

GreenerU has become a Con Edison participating contractor, which means we have the opportunity to receive electric and gas discounts from approved HVAC distributors. We can install qualified, high-efficiency heating, cooling, and air conditioning equipment from an approved distributor to any eligible customer within our service area. As a participating contractor, GreenerU receives instant discounts from electric distributors and gas distributors, as well as energy-efficient equipment qualifications for Con Edison incentives.

Working with School of Visual Arts in New York City, GreenerU has helped the school secure more than $62,000 in utility incentives from Con Edison. Projects have so far have reduced SVA’s annual electricity consumption by 372,000 kWh, saving more than $74,000 per year in utility bills.

GreenerU is focused exclusively on helping educational institutions find solutions to energy-efficiency and sustainability challenges on your campus. We help schools find a balance between efficiency, comfort, and cost through design, engagement, implementation, and ongoing performance monitoring.

If your school is located in any of the five boroughs or Westchester County, you may be eligible for Con Edison utility incentives—or you might be eligible for a different energy-efficiency incentive program through NYSERDA called Real Time Energy Management (RTEM). Read more about that program here.
